Umbrella

I chose this song because I could not find one and it was on the list of songs that was provided. The artists are very popular because they are talented. This song uses internal rhyme, alliteration, and assonance.

"You know me, in anticipation for precipitation"

This is the internal rhyme part of the song. Rihanna rhymes is some of her lines because it gets her message in a different way and it is creative. This keeps the listeners like myself, hooked into the song and maybe buy it or spread the word that it was a good song. She writes her lyrics most of the time in a effective way which helps her make millions.

"Under my umbrella (Ella ella, eh eh eh)"

This part of the song is assonance. This part is very catchy and I think it goes well with the song. This gets the point across because it is said over and over again. The umbrella I think means being under her protection or she has someone's back.

"Good Girl Gone Bad"

This is alliteration for this line of the song. The letter G is frequently used and the sound of the letter g is used many times. This makes the song catchy in a way and more affective.

  1. I really enjoyed reading this post because even though we used the same song, we had completely different points and evidence in our blogs.
