Reading Response # 2 summer reading book
The book Ark Angel by Anthony Horowitz is a action packed book about a 14 year old boy who works for the British Intelligence Agency and spies on criminals. The main character Alex is fighting criminals because one of them killed his uncle 2 years ago. He constantly interviews them on why they do the things that they do. The message I think he is trying to get across is if you are doing something you are not supposed to be doing you should probably stop. If you don't stop something bad will happen and sometimes it ends in death. Narrator in this book not only knows what id going on but also the thoughts and emotions of the characters.
The narrator follows Alex and says his thoughts. This gives the audience the history on Alex and why he does the things that he does. The setting in this book is in either present time or in the near future. Alex is different from all of the normal teens in his community. He has been shot twice and keeps denying that he will never go back to being a spy for M16. But that always fails and he ends up taking over cases and always closing them. This book was a great summer read for a teen and probably someone younger too.

I like how you describe Alex. I like how Alex is a teen spy.
